Outside my Window …
It has been raining, the sun is peeking through the clouds, and the kids are splashing.

I am thinking…
How wonderful it is to come home!

I am thankful…
For our amazing trip with our family.  It was a great time, in an amazing place!

In the kitchen…
The dishwasher is running, breakfast has finally been finished, and I just finished paying bills that are sitting on the counter.

I am wearing…
still in my gown.  =)

I am creating…
A mess!  In the next two weeks I have the daunting task of packing the entire house for movers to get us down to Wichita!

I am going…
to be groggy all day.  Our time is all messed up from traveling from Hawaii, to LA then Atlanta, on to Nebraska.  We all slept 13 hours and had to wake the kids this morning.

I am wondering…
How long it will take to get back on schedule!

I am reading…
Nothing right now.

I am hoping…
To get some homestead and farming magazine subscriptions.  =)

I am looking forward to…
Closing on the house July 1st.  Praying it all goes through just fine!

I am learning…
to just wait and see (so hard!)

Around the house…
Laundry.  Just … laundry.

I am pondering…
Isn’t this the same as wondering?  I need to google that …

A favorite quote for today…

A few plans for the rest of the week:
Packing all week!

A peek into my day…
Imagine me surrounded by laundry and unpacked suitcases.

Outside my Window …
It is beautiful and breezy.  We have had a lot of rain here the last few weeks, so we are thankful for the sunshine!

I am thinking…
Is it June yet?

I am thankful…
for Fit2B.

In the kitchen…
Everything is still a mess from dinner.

I am wearing…
Yoga pants and a tshirt… I am creating…
a custom camo & blaze orange blanket order.I am going…
to my baby’s first violin recital Saturday!  I am so proud and excited.I am wondering…
when it will be warm and sunny enough again to lay out- craving some vitamin D.

I am reading…
a few toddler books and my devotional.

I am hoping…
the house sale, moving, and our future travels all go smoothly.  Likely, something will go wrong!

I am looking forward to…
Mid June, when we will move.

I am learning…
that I really need to focus.

Around the house…
Well, we sold the house so we aren’t showing it anymore. Which means … I am back to relaxing on the house work until cleaning day!  (which is tomorrow …)  I’ve never been so thankful for a dusty, messy house.

I am pondering…
What God has planned for us; where we will move/buy in Wichita.  I am anxiously awaiting that decision.

A favorite quote for today…
yep.  I’ve got nothing … did I mention I need some inspiration?!

One of my favorite things…
Fit2B.  For the first time since Lexie was born, I no longer wet my pants when I sneeze, cough, or laugh; and I owe it ALL to the amazing women running Fit2B.  I am still working on healing my DR, but I can already tell a huge difference, after 5 months!  (did I mention I no longer wet my pants when I sneeze?!  Fellow mamas, you know what I’m talking about!)

I will probably never drop my subscription ($10 a month?!)- I have used Fit2B to completely change my body, my posture (which was HORRIBLE after nursing 3 babies and being pregnant non stop for over 5 years).  Even if you don’t have a diastasis recti, I highly recommend trying Fit2B for ONE month; I have never, ever had a program do for me what it has don and I thank God for it!

A few plans for the rest of the week:
Cleaning Day, finish our Sonlight Core for the year, make lists for vacation and our week in Kansas, make a dessert for the violin recital, finish a few sewing orders, maybe work on dresses for the girls’ for Hawaii and a few gifts I have going, call to get moving quotes, and schedule Charlie for boarding while we are gone.  …. that probably won’t all get done!

A peek into my day… (This is really from yesterday … but I mean, the cuteness?!)

Outside my Window …
It is cloudy and raining.  Oh, how we enjoy the spring rain; the robins have made their nests and are out eating worms as we speak.

I am thinking…
Life is about to be crazy.

I am thankful…
We were made, and accepted, an offer on the house after only two days on the market and two people looking at it.

In the kitchen…
I can still smell breakfast that my husband cooked, and the last bit of coffee.

I am wearing…
my pjs.  It is a snuggy Saturday inside, today!

I am creating…
I have lots of things I need to finish in the sewing room before we pack it all up and get it moved to the rental house.

I am going…
to Hawaii in 4 weeks, and moving to Kansas after that.  big changes for the Wright family are on the horizon!

I am wondering…
What living in a big city again will be like.  I can’t wait for us to save for our dream land/farm and home!

I am reading…
still working on my great homeschool mom’s book, and have started a few memoirs on my ipad.

I am hoping…
Everything goes smoothly and we don’t have any hiccups.

I am looking forward to…
Being settled in Kansas!

I am learning…
change is hard.  We didn’t live in York but 2 years, but the friendships we made were life long.  And we had finally found a church home; a church where we not only loved the people, but the minister was feeding out spirits just what they needed.  In all our years in Arkansas, I don’t think either of us felt that way.

Around the house…
Well, I will brag just for a minute.  The house is literally sparkling!  We had a showing (which turned into two) yesterday.  I literally scrubbed holes into rags cleaning the house.  There is nothing anyone could say right now to make me feel bad about it.  haha

I am pondering…
when things will turn for the worst … because isn’t that how it always goes?  I am just going to breathe and let God work.

One of my favorite things…
Watching my husband succeed.  He has no idea how much he inspires and pushes me.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
We have family coming in town, so we will relax with our school schedule and just hang out.  Then we will continue to show the house at schedule appointment times until we receive the necessary signed papers and earnest money for the sale!

A peek into my day…
No picture, but you will find me snuggling my babies, and napping most of the day!

Outside my Window …
It is a beautiful, crisp spring morning.

I am thinking…
I can not WAIT to go camping this week.

I am thankful…
That my husband and I share interests and can raise our children doing the things we love- like camping and fishing.

In the kitchen…
There is a giant box full of food for camping and traveling this week.

I am wearing…
jeans, a tshirt my husband got me from Chile, and a hair twisty on my wrist.

I am creating…
.. still working on Ila summer dresses.  =)

I am going…
CAMPING!  =)

I am wondering…
If it will rain or be pretty this week.  The weather forecast changed on us  =/

I am reading…
A great book for a review .. can’t wait to share with other homeschooling mamas!

I am hoping…
It is beautiful this week.

I am looking forward to…
Did I mention camping?  Ha- jk.  I am looking forward to this week in the country, spending time with my lil country bumpkins, and showing them how to really fish!

I am learning…
I eat better when my husband is out of town ..

Around the house…
Things are packed and sorta a mess; but all the laundry is clean!

I am pondering…
How I am going to work delicious, warm, ooozy smores into my low-sugar diet …

Outside my Window …
It is a beautiful, cool spring morning.  We had our first thunderstorms of the season last night.

I am thinking…
about our day and what we will do after learning time.

I am thankful…
For these days with my babies.  Last night I thought about how fast it is going by, and it made me sad that I won’t remember everything one day.

In the kitchen…
The dishwasher is empty, the kitchen is clean, and my coffee is waiting.

I am wearing…
yoga pants and a tshirt.

I am creating…
still working on clothes for the kids.

I am going…
to soak up this beautiful day!

I am wondering…
if it will be warm enough to lay out again.  =)

I am reading…
The Busy Homeschool Mom’s Guide to Daylight, by Heidi St. John.  It is for a review with the TOS and I am loving it!

I am hoping…
This 3-day weekend goes by slowly.

I am looking forward to…
Easter weekend with family and friends.

I am learning…
about using nature studies in our homeschool.

Around the house…
Yesterday was cleaning day, so things are pretty picked up and clean (but won’t stay that way long).  We are in the process of packing up winter clothes and pulling our warm weather clothes.

I am pondering…
nothing really …

A favorite quote for today…
“mommy, I have a naky booty!  Because my blue shirt didn’t match.”-Max  (of course rather than take off the shirt, he took off the undies.)

One of my favorite things…
watching Ila roll around and grab her feet.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
J.Tom is home for Good Friday so we will spend the weekend outside, then church on Sunday, and probably have Easter lunch with some wonderful friends.

A peek into my day…
Well, my day has just started, so imagine a cup of coffee and a very chatty 2 year old boy just talking about everything under the sun (while little sister lays beside us and big sister Facetimes with grandma).

Outside my Window …
It is cool and cloudy.  I really wish it would rain.

I am thinking…
All this sickness is getting old.  Ready for everyone to be well!

I am thankful…
For my essential oils, bone broth, and coffee.

In the kitchen…
There is a refrigerator FULL of food.  As in, I over bought and cooked this week.

I am wearing…
My husband’s flannel shirt to keep me warm.

I am creating…
Ila’s dress to match Lexie’s.  Finally finishing one set of their summer dresses.

I am going…
To do art with Lexie this afternoon.

I am wondering…
If Ila is going to catch this bug we are all passing around.

I am reading…
Through the Sonlight catalogue because it is fun ..

I am hoping…
The baby doesn’t catch our sickness, and that my husband doesn’t either!

I am looking forward to…
Saturday.  The weekend, PBS morning “working shows” with my babies, spring weather, camping this spring, and everyone feeling better.

I am learning…
It is hard to plan future years of curriculum when I am unsure of where Max and Ila will be. Do I pair up Lexie and Max, or Max and Ila?  Probably Max and Ila, depending on her personality.  Lexie will probably be on a first grade level by the end of next year, and Max will still just be in a Preschool state of mind.  I think, depending on Ila, I will probably end up with Max and Ila working in the same core in the future, but we will see.

Around the house…
There is a couch full of folded laundry (that I will put away after everyone wakes from nap), the downstairs is a wreck, there is more laundry in the wash and dryer, and I don’t think I will accomplish anything today because I am now sick, too.

I am pondering…
When we can go camping this spring!  I can’t wait to take Ila on her first camping trip.

A favorite quote for today…
Be Adventurous {Quietinthechaos.com}

One of my favorite things…
Camp fires, grilling hot dogs, smores, coffee in fresh morning air.

A few plans for the rest of the week:

Outside my Window …
It is dark- but just barely.  We are so happy spring is here!

I am thinking…
I am exhausted, and the time change is finally catching up with me.

I am thankful…
For the SUN!  I am actually sporting sun tan lines from a few minutes of laying in the grass with the kids.  =)

In the kitchen…
There is a warm angel food cake on the stove (soon to be covered in blueberries), and the dishwasher is running.

I am wearing…
Another granny night gown.  =)

I am creating…
A bib for a custom order, and still working on dresses for the girls.

I am going…
to sleep in 5, 4, 3 …

I am wondering…
Why we have to move the time.  I mean, I know why (only because I watched a documentary segment on it the other night), but WHY?!

I am reading…
I am about to start pre-reading the chapter books for our homeschool core for next year.

I am hoping…
To finish buying our homeschool curriculum soon and get things in order for next year!

I am looking forward to…
Tuesday (tomorrow)- which is gymnastics and violin day, but also THE WARMEST DAY IN 3 MONTHS!  Woo hoo

I am learning…
How not to make an angel food cake.  ha!

Around the house…
The kids and Charlie have tracked in dead grass and it is just everywhere …

I am pondering…
Nothing really …

A favorite quote for today…
“Fox is a sponkey monkey!” (Mister talking about his fox; we still don’t know what this means)

One of my favorite things…
Sleep.  Sleep is my favorite thing right now.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
Tuesday errand day, Wednesday cleaning day, Friday homeschool group day, and love on my babies every day.  =)

A peek into my day…

I disassembled this big boy (23lbs pre-brined), and filled the fridge and freezer with turkey meat.  Yum!Simple Woman's Daybook {8}

Outside my Window …
It is gray and cold today.  *tut tut looks like rain*

I am thinking…
It is cleaning day, and the house is cleeeean!  yay

I am thankful…
For a warm home that needs to be cleaned.

In the kitchen…
Our Azure order from last night is on the counter- 25#s of organic apples, #10s of organic carrots, a pound of organic cinnamon, and a box of organic pasta.

I am wearing…
Yoga pants and my husband’s old Arkansas t-shirt

I am creating…
Dresses for the girls for the summer, and Max some pants.

I am going…
To nurse the baby in about 15 minutes and make lunch for the tiny humans.

I am wondering…
If the order my mom sent for the kids is going to be here today… (American Girl sale!)

I am reading…
The Well-Trained Mind, my Sonlight catalogue, and my Martha Stewart Living magazine. (have I mentioned my love for all things Martha?  Even my 4 year old loves her, “Mama, Martha can cook anything.”  Aaaah, a girl after my own heart.  =)

I am hoping…
To be down 2 more pounds this week.  Did you know peanut butter is the real enemy?  Forget Big Gov., GMOs, and chemical/processed man made food.  It is peanut butter .. (jk of course)

I am looking forward to…
Finishing cutting out the girls’ dresses so I can sew them.  Cutting is the worst part.

I am learning…
I am not really sure right now- nothing major to add here today.  =/

Around the house…
It is CLEAN!  I love cleaning day … did I mention that, too?

I am pondering…
How I can make a cob web getter- downer.  I am thinking of rubber banding a towel to the end of a mop and using that.  I can reach them, even on a chair.  Short people problems.

One of my favorite things…
Watching “working” and “cooking” shows on PBS with my family on cold Saturday mornings, with a cup of coffee in my hand and my babies snuggled up next to me.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
Finish school, menu plan, get dresses sewn, get boxes of clothes to the mission, get my Fit2B workouts in.

A peek into my day…
Just imagine me cleaning the house this morning, and reading to my babies all afternoon.  =)

Outside my Window …
It is beautiful and warm.  After naps we are all going outside for fresh air and vitamin D.  This winter has been just the perfect mix of snowy days and warm days.

I am thinking…
These dark chocolate chips are good.  I wish I had some hot tea to go with them.

I am thankful…
dark chocolate that is dairy free.  *yum*

In the kitchen…
Dishes are piled in the sink and corn bread is still on the stove from lunch.  Chicken is thawing in the sink; I am making my dijon chicken for dinner.  The kids love it.

I am wearing…
Black yoga pants, a t-shirt my mom gave me, my brother’s Memphis jacket, and fuzzy socks.  (it is colder in the house than it is outside?!)

I am creating…
A gown for a little girl who is playing Mother Goose in her Kindergarten play.  How cute is that?!

I am going…
to make some hot tea …. be right back!

I am wondering…
If my husband got good rest in Japan before he had to get up for work a few hours later.

I am reading…
A.A. Milne’s Winnie-The-Pooh to the kids again.  They love it.

I am hoping…
To be down 2 lbs this week …

I am looking forward to…
Playing in the sun this afternoon.

I am learning…
Moderation.  Moderation.  Moderation ..

Around the house…
Today is “laundry, pick up, and vacuum day”- so things are mostly in order.  Not “clean” but picked up.

I am pondering…
How in the world A.A. Milne came up with the idea of writing from the perspective of an adult talking to a child about when they were a younger child …

A favorite quote for today…

Always makes me think of my Mister Bear.  He is surely an adventure!

Outside my Window …
There are piles and piles of snow from snow drifts.  But every where else it is melted.  After our 50-60 degree January, we are having a snowy February, and expecting more this week.  The kids played in the snow the first day; it was the first time Mister really had fun in the snow (he always tries, but gets too cold).  I had so much fun watching him!

I am thinking…
About so much!  I didn’t cross off anything on my to-do list today.  My planner is currently disassembled and it is making my life chaotic.  I feel like I can’t do anything because it isn’t useable.

I am thankful…
That my ARC hole punch should be here TOMORROW so I can finally get my planner put back together.
I am also thankful for my husband; oh how I miss him when he is gone.

In the kitchen…
the dish washer is loaded, a roasted chicken and veggies are sitting on the stove erady for me to put away for leftovers.

I am wearing…
My glasses; because I am getting wrinkles from squinting.

I am creating…
Goodies to send to my planner buddies.

I am going…
To Omaha later in the week; and possibly Memphis to see family later in the month.

I am wondering…
If the weather will be nice enough for the Omaha Zoo this weekend.

I am reading…
Honey for a Child’s Heart, Flipping back through The Well Trained Mind, and revisiting The Strong Willed Child (for Lexie, who is suddenly arguing like a lawyer again).

I am hoping…
Things go smoothly this weekend, and we are able to get to Omaha, my hole punch gets here tomorrow, because I am lost and confused without my planner, praying that punching my planner goes well and isn’t disastrous, and that Ila feels better tomorrow because she had gas today (which is unusual for her, and may be to blame on the cabbage I ate).

I am looking forward to…
This weekend, the end of the month, and a trip with our big family in May.

I am learning…
How to strengthen my pelvic floor and heal my DR.  It is slow progress, but it is progress.

Around the house…
Things are a wreck- tomorrow is cleaning day!  Woo Hoo!

I am pondering…
Not much …

A favorite quote for today…
Max was jumping on the bed today before we left for violin.  As I was helping Lexie get dressed he fell into the headboard and bumped his cheek (he is going to have a heck of a shiner!).  Lexie says …”Aw, mama.  Bless his little baby heart.  Now tell him all the ways he can get hurt jumping on th bed so he won’t want to do it anymore!”

One of my favorite things…
My children’s smiles.  My silly little Mister bear that can quote the entire AA Milne Winnie the Pooh because we listen to it in the car over. and over. and over again.  My type A tom boy and her new found love of dolls (yay!).  And my sweet Little Miss who just loves to snuggle and watch her crazy siblings.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
Oh my…:  clean house, finish our schooling that we slacked off on today, get my planner put back together, decorate and journal in my “new” planner, get goodie boxes for buddies in the mail, get packed for our trip to Omaha, make plans for our trip to Memphis, love on my babies.  =)

A peek into my day…
No picture today.  Just imagine us at the library with friends, gymnastics with more friends, and violin!  (she is learning to play twinkle twinkle!)
