It is dark- but just barely. We are so happy spring is here!

I am exhausted, and the time change is finally catching up with me.
For the SUN! I am actually sporting sun tan lines from a few minutes of laying in the grass with the kids. =)

A peek into my day…
I disassembled this big boy (23lbs pre-brined), and filled the fridge and freezer with turkey meat. Yum!
What curriculum ate you using next year??
I wish you lived closer do I could look at your All About Reading curriculum! I’m looking at it for both girls, next year, but want to actually flip through a real live book.
We are using:
History/Bible Core- Sonlight
Reading- All About Reading Level 2, we will do All About Spelling, only because it is recommended with AAR Level2. She may not be ready for it, but we will have it for when she is.
LA Arts- I think I am just going to do copywork here; very gentle. I have First language Lessons, but I feel like we will hold off on that until the following year.
Math- Saxon
Science- Elemental Science, not sure how I feel about this. I am terrible at hands on stuff, and I am hoping this will make me do it!
We will also use Artistic Pursuits for some fun, educational art.
I suspect we will go through Science and Art very slowly, so those will probably last us longer than the year. =)
We Love All About Reading. I wish I could describe a lesson; maybe I can have J.Tom video us doing a FULL lesson this weekend (or sometime soon) so you can see just what it is. I feel like it is a wonderful, complete-but-to-the-point curriculum. It includes the hands on aspect, but also covers all the fluency practice, a few learning games, etc. It is really a great program!
And you’re buying all this for next year and will start planning and mapping out your year, now?
Yes. I have written and re written my plan out a million times! haha. But this is where I have landed for good. Everything is purchased except AAS and part of our science.
