You may remember my review earlier in the year for Koru Naturals amazing lip balm and emu oil. I had an opportunity to review even more of their products, this time: Argan Oil and Sandalwood Hair Tonic ($12.20), Manuka Honey Propolis Soap ($7.90), & their Skin Clear Cream ($19.20). Let me tell you, we were NOT disappointed!
Argan Oil & Sandalwood Tonic
Right before I received Koru Naturals’ Argan Oil and Sandalwood Tonic, I cut about 8-9 inches off my hair. I have very thick, wavy/curly hair that when short can be very unruly. I was so excited to use this oil on my hair!
It comes in a lovely 4oz bottle with a sturdy pump. It smells so good, and a little goes a very long way. After showering, I use a small drop for my short hair, just on the ends. After drying and styling, I didn’t even recognize my own hair! It was so smooth, shiny, and manageable! It wasn’t flipping out every which way, and I didn’t need to straighten it on as high a temperature because it was already pretty close to perfect; I just ran my straightener over the ends. It not only felt amazing, not greasy at all, but also cut my styling time down- when you have 3 children 5 and under that is important (I know you can relate!). It is also full of natural ingredients that I can feel good using on my body.
Manuka Honey Propolis Soap
Like all homes with small children, we do a lot of hand washing around here! I especially have my hands in soapy water a lot because I wipe little hands and faces, high chairs, and counter tops down all day long. The harsh dish soaps I usually use can take a serious toll on my skin; they dry out my hands and cause my cuticles to crack.
When I received this *heavenly* bar of soap I placed it right next to my kitchen sink so I would remember to use it. It is a very large bar (almost 5 oz) and smells so good. All I can say is wow! I really tried to remember to use the Manuka Honey & Propolis Soap, and even though sometimes I forgot, it has been amazing on my hands! It not only smells amazing, but my hands aren’t dry and since using it I haven’t had any cracked cuticles. My children can smell the soap and ask, “Mama, are you using the special soap?” =)
We have also used it in the bathtub for the kids, and it leaves their sensitive skin so soft; I can tell it is very gentle on their skin. We love it in our house!
Skin Clear Cream
The last item I received for review was the Skin Clear Cream. I have used mostly the same moisturizers for several years so I was excited to try something new from a company that I *love.* The cream is made of raw, unpasteurized Manuka Honey and other natural ingredients you can read about HERE.
The Skin Clear Cream came in a wide mouth, 4oz jar. It smells SO good- not a perfumie scent (which I do not like in facial or skin products)- but a fresh, clean, natural scent. It is so soft to the touch and you will notice a difference in this and other products right away!
The cream was very light, not heavy on my skin at all. I don’t use a lot of products on my skin (no real makeup, foundations, etc) because it is important for me to feel like there isn’t anything on top of my face, and that it isn’t greasy. This moisturizer went on clean and I couldn’t even tell it was there other than my skin was so soft! I tried to remember to use it in the morning and at night, but I honestly just applied it after I washed my face in the shower.
I will absolutely be buying more of the Skin Clear Cream!
