Growing Girl

Lexie 3 weeks, 3 days old and as I have mentioned she is growing out of clothes so quickly!  She was already a big girl, so a few things were tight when we got home.  However, we have had a pretty drastic weather change (98 to 70 degrees) so now I am trying to get her in all her summery, warm weather clothes at least once or twice before it is too cool out!  I actually turned the heat on this morning to get rid f the chill in the house.  With no carpet this house gets cold easily.  Today we are wearing this outfit:

Her torso is long (hopefully she will have a long torso like her daddy, and very un-like her mama!) and therefore the newborn footies and some onesies are too short.  This shirt, for instance is already too short.  The breeches, however are a little big in the waist, and they are newborn!  Maybe she will be taller than her mama and thin too.  haha

This morning, we received a package from Granny and Grandpa that had lots of goodies!!  There were some pajamas, a sleep sack (can’t wait to use that) and some precious outfits.  We looove getting packages.  =)   Hopefully Granny can make it to Hot Springs with mom in October and she can see Lexie in person.

Today we are changing the linens, doing laundry and dusting.  Pre-baby I would vacuum every other day (because of the animals) but only deep-cleaned the house once a week.  I have since discovered the secret to a clean house post-baby is to do a few things every other day.  That way the house is always picked up and clean. =)   If I do it during her AM nap (that is, if she decides to take one) then I can still get a nap in the afternoon and have a clean home!

I wish I could get a good pick of her eyelashes.  They are SO long, but they’re blonde… which apparently she got from J.Tom?  We don’t really know; she also has blonde highlights in her hair.  If those eyes don’t turn green, I am going to say they gave us the wrong baby!  haha  j/k.  Who could deny that face?  I think her hair is getting curlier because even when I brush it down it still curls, before it would at least straighten on the top!  We discovered the color-contrast book and a new rattle yesterday.  The book is all in red, black, and white which are the colors baby can see best and really help stimulate her brain.  She enjoyed looking at the book and is doing good following the sound of the rattle.  She also follows the camera when you are trying to take pictures.  She is a smart girl!

Dear Lexie Raye (2)

Dear Lexie Raye,

Ok, let’s have a talk. I know it is nice and dark, warm, and floaty in there, but it is really nice out here too- It is warm and humid, kinda the same thing.. Daddy and I are very anxious to see you and hold you and everyone is pestering the snot out of us to get you here!

The house is ready for your arrival:

  • the kitchen is spotless and reorganized
  • the regridgerator has never been cleaner
  • the baseboards have been wiped down (although in a 60 year old house, you won’t know it in a few days for all the dust that reaccumulates…)
  • the cabinets have been emptied and reorganized
  • All the DVDs have been reorganzied and re-alphabetized (we won’t let daddy put them away anymore, because he apparently does not know his ABC’s)
  • Everything that is not used has been taken to Salvation Army (in the equivalent to about 100 trips)
  • Mommy and Daddy spent a lot of time “compromising” over what would stay and what would go from both of our hobby rooms in order to give you your own room. We now share a hobby room which is crowded and looks junky-but I am sure you are worth it. =)
  • closets have been rearranged so you have your own
  • all your clothes and linens are washed and put away
  • your nursery has been primed, painted, decorated and furnished with much love from: Daddy and me, Mia, Sue Sue (previously known as Gwennie, but we changed it recently), Aunt Courtney, and Granddaddy Payne.
  • You have lots of clothes to wear-REALLY CUTE clothes- and lots of shoes and hair bows!! You will love hair bows and shoes, they make clothes so worth wearing (until you become a tomboy at about age 8) Oh, even your Daddy has enjoyed shopping for your clothes, so this is like a BIG deal here, Kid.
  • Missy Cat knows we are expecting you (that is her laying on you and purring for hours on end) and I am pretty sure Scarlet does too. Stitch, well… he is pretty clueless but I know he will love you. And he is great with kids, so you will like him too.
  • We recently bought a new car from a used car dealer so it is safer for you, not to mention it is more comfortable for Daddy and me too. I’m so happy with the car, I love it!! Your car seat is in and ready to go!!
  • Our bags are packed and in the car (minus daily hygiene stuff) so we are prepared whenever you start making your way
  • We have your jogging stroller ready to go so you can see the beautiful outside world! Plus, it will be fall soon and you will LOVE fall. There aren’t many thing better than hot tea, crisp leaves, open windows, and a nice stroll outside to make you love life.
  • Daddy is just as ready as I am for your arrival-you will fall madly in love with your dad.
  • He even started driving again today, so he can be sure he can drive us to the hospital-which made Mom very nervous, but he did just fine.
  • Now, Daddy’s bathroom (and our laundry room) is still in a bit of a mess because he didn’t get to finish it before his back went out, but I promise that is the only thing not totally ready.
  • And most importantly (well, maybe not most important but a very close second)- Mommy is tired of being poked and prodded every week like a Thanksgiving Day Turkey. This, you will soon learn, isn’t a good thing (but we do LOVE Granny’s turkey and dressing and Thanksgiving..)
  • Oh, I also got you some wonderful educational toys for when you are a few months older which you will enjoy playing with. I promise they will be more fun than dancing on my bladder and kicking my ribs all day. Honest!

So just keep these things in mind, as it is your “due” date today. This may just be an estimate date, but the doctors do this to torture pregnant women all over the world. Also, Mommy is ready for weight loss, running, spin class, sleeping on her tummy (when I will get to sleep), and a drink. So let’s move this process along, shall we?

Love,
Mom

Blah, blah, blah, No baby yet, Blah

Yes, so no baby yet.  Lots of regular contractions but they stop, which is quite disappointing.

I was told by the nurse if they need to induce me, I will be confined to the BED during labor.  Do you know what that means?!  No moving with contractions, no laboring in the shower for pain relief, no NOTHING.  Is that not insane?  Why do they do this to women?  There is very little chance of the cord becoming prolapsed and laying in the bed is not an efficient way to labor, at all!  So, I have decided if they do induce me and confine me to the stinkin bed, I am just going to go ahead with the epidural.  Because what point is there in laying in a bed for hours on end, with pitocin running through your body causing intense, unnatural contractions THAT YOU CANNOT MOVE TO LABOR WITH?!  Damn, if you are going to be confined to the bed once administered an epidural anyway, might as well get the epidural when confined to the bed for being induced..  Grr, can you tell I am a little frustrated?

I know there is no telling how, when, etc labor will start.  And frankly I don’t even care so much at this point.  But I do not like my choices and freedoms being limited, NOT because of dangers to me or my baby, but because of the fear of responsibilities and inconveniences to the doctors and nurses.  You know they will do the internal monitoring just so they don’t have to come readjust the external monitor every time she moves?  HELLO, it is in their JOB DESCRIPTION.  They are getting paid good money to take care of me and the baby…  ok.  I will try to calm down some.  But it isn’t like our hospital is so big and so crazy busy that they cannot take good care of someone.

I am telling you, depending on how this experience goes, the next one will not be born in a hospital.  I am just that put out with the doctors and hospital staff.  Since when is something my body knows to do naturally something YOU can dictate with your “policies” and “regulations” that have not been put in place for the patience care, but to cover your own butt and keep you from being bothered and inconvenienced?  Grr  And like this is going to get SO much better when the government gets involved… lovely.  Talk about loss of freedoms.

Ok, I am done whining now. Sorry.

Dear Lexie,

Dear Lexie,
There are a few things you should know now, and we will discuss in greater detail later.  Let me start by saying that your dad and I are very excited and nervous about your arrival.  Your dad is pretty confident that we will be good parents; I am confident we will do our best-and sometimes that is going to mean screwing up.  So let me go ahead now and apologize for any mistakes we make.  A great character trait of your dad- he is pretty willing to admit when he is wrong or has made a mistake.  A good character trait of mine- I listen.  But I know we are a powerhouse together and will make a wonderful parental unit.  =)
I do want to mention some things in advance that I know will happen at some point in the distant future and my plans for dealing with these situations.  Disclaimer: I hold the right to change my mind and consequences/rewards in the future.
1.  You are the oldest (of hopefully 3 or 4)… you hold a little more responsibility than your friends and younger siblings may.  You will be the influence, ehum-POSITIVE influence- for your siblings.  Unfortunately, you also set the bar for behaviors and their consequences… keep that in mind  😉  Now, I was the baby and so was your dad, but I do know the oldest is usually the instigator of all things “fun.”  You will be the one who devises plans to fib about playing on slip and slides, sneak Little Debbies, run away from home when you are 8, and throw the laundry on the fan before turning it on high.  You will be the ring leader of your siblings.  However, I warn you there is probably nothing your dad and I, when combined experiences, have not tried or done.  You won’t always get busted, but we will always find out.  Have fun, just be safe and use your head (hopefully you will get your dad’s genius brain and that won’t be an issue).
2.  As your parents we love you but we also have to work as a team to protect you.  Sometimes that won’t seen like much fun for you…. sorry, kid.
3.  If you’re anything like me, you will be running around with the boys (and your brother) in the neighborhood: playing street hockey, roller blading, building forts, playing ball, hide and seek, shooting BB guns, catching tadpoles and climbing fences and trees.  Please keep in mind scars will NOT be cool or attractive when you are about 14 and are especially saddening when you are an adult.
If you are girly like your grandmother, well then God help us because I won’t know what to do with you.  I mean, I know how to play Barbies and house- but that is about the extent of it.   =/
4.  I know you will be a daddy’s girl, because your dad is wonderful, and that is just fine.  But keep in mind your mom is the best girlfriend you will ever have, and probably the only one you can truly trust with your secrets.
5.  Speaking of friends-girls are MEAN.  They are ruthless, jealous, devious, and if they’re that way when they are 7 they will be that way when they are 27.  Guaranteed.  I encourage you to write it out, all of your thoughts and fears; find someone you can confide in but not every girl that says they’re your friend, because I am sorry to say they really aren’t.
6.  If your “friends” are talking about other girls behind their backs, they are doing it to you too.  So don’t join them and become one of “those” girls.
7.  Treat everyone like you want to be treated.  I can remember a few times in school when I got wrapped up in being popular and became one of those mean girls.  I have never been so ashamed of myself, and that crappy attitude didn’t last long.  I watched as some of my best friends transformed into icky people I barely recognized.  Please be kind to everyone and show your good Christian spirit, I promise it will make you an all together happier person.
8.  Find something you love or enjoy and stick with it.  Having a hobby or sport, something that belongs to you, will give you something to claim as your own.  That will be important later in life.
9.  Ok, for the stupid, irresponsible, dangerous stuff you will do once you are older… hrm.  I am not even a mother yet and I have a built in lie detector.  Yes, many a friend (or family member) has lied about this or that and I knew, but you pick your battles.  (lying by omission counts!) You are my child, I love you, and your poor choices are your parents’ battles.  You will screw up, that is part of life.  Unfortunately, you will also be surrounded, at some point in your life, by people who are not a very good influence.  I pray you will make the best choices the majority of the time, because I know we cannot watch you 24/7.  I want you to be a smart, independent young woman. Just remember where you came from and where you are headed in life- you will have to live with your choices and sometimes that just down right stinks.
10.  Your dad and I are both pretty “anti idiot-box” so we probably won’t waste time or money on cable or satellite tv.  By the time you are big enough, they probably won’t exist in that form anyway… but just FYI.
11.  Don’t believe everything you hear.  Do your homework, make educated choices.  The only power you will have in life is your faith, and your knowledge.  The more you know, the better off you will be; don’t depend on others to educate you on your interests.  Sometimes you have to be your own advocate.
12. Sometimes (well, a lot of times from about 12 yrs old to 15 yrs old) you will hate your parents.  What can I say?  Sometimes life is no fun, but I promise we are trying and one day you will appreciate it.
13. Oh- I almost forgot.  BOYS.  Well, boys are stupid and don’t have much sense until they are about 28 and even then it isn’t a guaranteed thing.  We will talk a lot more about boys and dating when we get to that point, but just FYI-they aren’t worth it.  😉
A few things you should know about your dad:
He is one of the best men I have ever known.  He loves Christ, his family, and helping others.  He is a wonderful husband and beautiful role model.  I fall in love with him more every day- he is strong, smart, and a very hard worker.
A few things you should know about me:
I am realistic and honest.  My heart lies in helping children and animals.  I am a little particular about things and I am sorry about that… I over plan and over analyze.  But I can cook and I like to have fun, so does that count for something?  =)
I know I will never be able to cover every little topic of life with you, not until it comes up anyways.  But I know you are in good hands, God’s hands, and everything will work out.  Remember to say your prayers and be thankful for your blessings.
I am sure there will be plenty more letters written in the future, but this is a good start.  We can’t wait to meet you in the next week or so!
-Mom

Realistically….

I am very nervous.  Things are becoming very realistic.  We are about to be freakin parents.  I think we will be wonderful parents, but seriously?  Parents.  I am 24-I didn’t expect this for like 3 or 4 more years.
J.Tom and I have spent more time together in the last 4 weeks (with him being home due to his back and me of course not being in school or working…) than we have ever in our relationship history- it has been truly amazing and I am convinced a blessing.  We have talked for hours about everything under the sun, snuggled, and relayed our fears of the future.  When the baby comes, I am going to miss that but we will do everything we can to keep that relationship.  Babies are hard work- maybe they are blissful and wonderful when they are born but then they become frustrating and exhausting.  I know that only lasts a little while and it will end eventually, but that is real stress and can prove how strong your marriage is; how strong you are.  I know our marriage is strong enough to survive it; we are really great together and know how to work out our issues.  We communicate well and are not afraid to talk about everything with the other.  But there is still that fear that things will become chaotic and we will lose sight of each other in the long run.  It happens to people ever day; but then I also know not every married couple has the strength and faith that we have and that faith is what lets me know we will be better than fine.
Then, my other fear is this whole childbirth thing…  I am/we are mentally prepared for anything- natural, epidural, maybe even a CSection if they can convince me it is absolutely necessary.  But it is still pretty horrifying!  What if I get stuck at like 4 or 5 cm for hours with contractions that are only like a min apart?-oh yea, I can get an epidural  😉  Or what if I have back labor like some of my friends?  And then, what if I get the epidural because of the pain and then labor completely stalls and the doctor says we have to do a CSection?  If I could just KNOW what was going to happen, regardless of what it was, I would feel much better. All this unpredictability is a little nerve racking.
I keep saying I am ready for some progress- FYI, this does not mean I am ready for the baby to come!  Progress would just ease my mind… I don’t even know why.  But up until like, oh I don’t know, yesterday, I have been “prepared” for this.  Well, I’m really not.  I mean, I have confidence in my body, the baby, the doctor, J.Tom, and epidurals/medicines if I need them, but I just don’t know what to expect and it is bothering me.  I know once everything starts happening it will fall into place and things will be fine.  I also know that if I can’t make it through without pain meds it isn’t the end of the world, (it’s not like I want to do it to prove how strong I am.  I am a self declared wimp!) but you see I am a planner and over-analyzer.  And I analyze what could happen, and I just want to avoid those possibilities.  But can you really do that, avoid the inevitable?  I don’t think so… yes to some extent you can make certain choices that lead to certain outcomes, but in the same respect there are things you cannot control.  Man, I hate that too-I like knowing I can make my own decisions based on my educated ideas.  And I have overly educated myself on pregnancy and childbirth.
I should probably start focusing on what to do after the baby comes.  Haha-I have no idea what to do with her.  Newborns are pretty simple and yet complicated.  Feed em, change em, put them down to sleep… yadda yadda yadda.   But when they can’t sleep, get sick, have gas, are colicky, won’t latch on right during breastfeeding, you are beyond exhausted, need a shower and have chores to do, infants and life become VERY complicated.
Yes, I know everything will work itself out.  These are normal first time parent fears and I don’t need anyone to tell me it will be fine, because I already know it will be fine.  But I also know it is realistic, and realistically life is about to get interesting.
On a different note, I had an amazing shower with my girlfriends Sunday!  They went above and beyond; Lexie and I cannot thank them enough!  They worked so hard and it def showed!  So, here are some pictures of the gifts we got and decorations.
 bottles and socks from Kirby
Precious shoes that match a precious dress Kirby got Lexie.  But the pic of the dress wouldn’t turn out!

Kirby’s sister made this for the baby.  So sweet!
 Bows and headband from Kirby.
 A few essentials from Julie
The picture doesn’t show it, but these are bands that have Lexi’s name on them for her sippy cups and bottles!  Thank you, Julie.  =)
Teddy Bear from Kirby’s fiance, “Uncle Brett”
bag and goodies from Heather and Droopy
Essentials from Ms. Nicky and Jodi
Beautiful, hand painted letters from Jessica!  The picture distorted the colors some and does NOT do them justice.

Tutu and GermX from Whitney.  Germ X will be on the entry hall table for guests.  =)  haha

37 weeks 5 days- 16 to go!!!

Almost 38 weeks!  That means 2 weeks left, 3 max if she isn’t here by her “due date.”  I have to say, the last 2 weeks I have been miserable, cranky, and very, very snippy.  Today is better- I went shopping so that probably has something to do with it.  (BIG smiley face here)  But I didn’t buy much, just a few gifts, hand soap, and things for the house.  Oh, I also got my red raspberry leaf tea, this is very good for all women, but helps to tone the uterus Lexie Raye’s home during pregnancy and supposedly makes labor less painful because raspberry leaves contain an alkaloid called fragarine, which is said to make labor easier due to its effectiveness as a tonic for the pelvic muscles and uterus.  The more effective your uterus is at contracting and moving the baby out, the faster/easier your labor will be.  Who knows if it is true or not, but I love hot and cold tea, so I am going to drink it regardless.  Got it at TJ on their gormet food isle for-get this- $2.99!  Go me.  I also got my hair done today, which has helped to improve my mood.
Oh, and you know how I have been so focused on what kind of labor we have and not having a C-Section?  I DON’T CARE ANYMORE!  I am DONE being pregnant.  At this point, I do not care how, when, or where this baby comes-I just want her out.  It is so uncomfortable.  I honestly don’t know how women who have terrible pregnancies the whole time do it.  I wouldn’t make it…  There is NO way.  I can’t lay on my back because it hurts, on my my side because it pulls in my back, obviously can’t lay on my tummy… and this pelvic girdle pain crud is for the BIRDS!  UH  So while I am very thankful my pregnancy has been easy and happy, this last month just down right sucks.  And poor J.Tom, I have been pretty cranky… I will just put it that way.  I want to be able to: touch my toes again, sit comfortably, walk without waddling, bend over, stand for longer than a few minutes, and mostly get back in my comfy clothes!!!!  I am just SO BEYOND READY!!
However, I do have a lot more energy today, so I am probably going to finish putting away baby things.  My dining room table looks like a junk store threw up on it… go figure.  I did get all my thank you cards from the last shower done and in the mail.. big relief.  But I have some things to take back in little rock and just haven’t ran that errand yet so it is all on the table.  It’s too hot (not a very good excuse, I know) to get out and run too many errands.

Update on Lexie: she is moving a little less, but when she does it is pretty painful.  She doesn’t have a lot of room in there and I constantly feel like my ribs are being pulled in opposite directions.  I am afraid my torso is just too short for this.. grr.  What will I do when the next baby is a 10 lb BOY?  I don’t even know what size she is.. according to the books and online updates I get she should be somewhere around 6 lbs right now, but what if she is bigger?  What’s even more worrisome, is what if she is small?!?!  Then all this weight I have gained is mostly ME!  hahaha  Not a happy thought.  I don’t mind having a big baby-like my MIL says, it is the head and shoulders you have to worry about, not the weight!  A small baby can still have a big head or broad shoulders.  Unfortunately, J.Tom and I are both pretty broad shouldered.  Sadness.
J.Tom had his surgery Tuesday (as most of you know) and is doing a lot better.  Waiting for some numbness to go away, but the dr. said that will take a little while.  However, the pain is mostly gone, as long as he doesn’t over do it and wear himself out.  So we are very thankful for that!

37 Weeks-Full Term (and update on J.Tom)

37 weeks (not a good quality, taken with phone)

We are officially full term and if baby were to come now, everything would be fine.  Well, except that J.Tom is having surgery (hopefully this week) and we will need 2 weeks of recovery before he can drive or lift anything.  He has been down since July 24, so 2 full weeks now, and the epidural steroid shot did nothing… The nerves being pressed by the ruptured discs (there are 2) are “unprotected” nerves, so it could cause permanent damage if we don’t get them out.  We will call and schedule the pre-op stuff tomorrow, and hopefully have surgery Tues or Wed so he can get back to living life.  It is not a huge procedure, but they will put him under.

I go to the doctor tomorrow morning for our 37 week checkup.  Hopefully we will have some progress going, but if not I have decided I am not worrying about it.  I am just going to walk and she will come when she comes… I guess.  I have noticed changes, like when I lay down my chest is not as heavy and it is easier to breathe, so maybe she has settled downward some more.  Also, my skin is getting oily again, like it did that first month of my pregnancy (which is one reason I knew something was up..).  Hopefully that means everything is just around the corner (of course with only 3 weeks left it has to be “just around the corner,” huh?)  I am still shooting for the 26th…

My plans for the next few weeks have changed; due to J.Tom’s doctor apts and surgery I will probably wait to get my hair done, pedicure, and massage until next week or LATE this week.  We got our Pack n Play ordered and set up in the living room; the way our house is laid out, it will be easier to have that in the front of the house and the small bassinet in the bedroom.  I don’t mind laying her down on the couch for naps and things, but it’s just we have the dogs and the cat (which shed..), and for a while I think I will be uncomfortable putting her where they are used to laying.  I keep the furniture clean, but still.  If you know me, you know my up-tightnesses (that’s not a word, is it?) about certain things.  I know people will think I am overly obsessive about things, but to each their own, right?  We also have the nursery finished, including the changing pad (THANK YOU Mom), organized closet, and cushions on the rocker.  I have some pics I will post at the bottom of this blog.

One week from today is the shower my girlfriends are throwing for Lexie!  I cannot wait, because I have not seen them since the beginning of this summer (which is way too long).  I am very excited for them because they are either interning or got their first teaching jobs!  YAY

Oh, and a random thought… has anyone else noticed all these nasty little caterpillars that are EVERYWHERE?!  Apparently they hatched all at once the other day, and if you look down it looks like the ground is moving because there are so many crawling around… that is just kinda icky.

Bucket Aunt Courtney painted and decorated to match Lexie’s bedding
Diaper Bag
Picture that Aunt Courtney made-she is so talented!
Aunt Court made some wipe holders
One of my favorite blankets!  It is beautiful and SO soft.
Changing pad on dresser top, with tote
Hand made burp cloths by Mia and Rachelle-love them!

Oh, and a random thought… has anyone else noticed all these nasty little caterpillars that are EVERYWHERE?!  Apparently they hatched all at once the other day, and if you look down it looks like the ground is moving, there are so many crawling around… and that is just kinda icky.

On the verge of a breakdown, anyone?

Really, there is no reason to be on the verge of a breakdown, so that is a bit of an over exaggeration.  You know though, God just REALLY likes to test patience and faith.  Grrr… shame on Him at such an important time!  jk..

So, J.Tom has been down with his back since July 24.  We’ve been to the doctor, they did XRays.  Then we went in for an MRI-turns out it is a “large herniated disc.”  He has always had some back problems from playing football and stuff in college; they have always been solved by going to the chiropractor- a temorary fix but really the only fix for a young man. The technician says in her experience, this means surgery, that we are passed the physical therapy or steroid injection phase.

I’ve never seen him, or anyone I love, in so much physical pain and it is just driving me crazy.  I want so badly to make it go away, and can’t.  He has to lay flat on his back with very limited movement; can’t sit down to eat, can’t stand up for more than 5min at a time… it is a mess.  I don’t mind waiting on him and helping him (it gives me something to do all day) but I hate that I cannot make the pain go away. Oh, and DOCTORS SUCK.  PERIOD.  If you’re a doctor, I am mad at you.  I won’t go into why, but things could have and SHOULD have been handled a lot differently than they have been (and I’m not saying that just because it is taking time, I know there are office procedures to be followed).

Also, we can’t get into a neurosurgeon for at least a week.  We need his opinion to tell us if we can do physical therapy or if it has to be surgery..  We’re trying to get into one in LR (getting references from some family friends here in town) because I don’t know that you want to have a possible back surgery in a small town in AR.  The thought is a little scary.

Now the obvious problem, the baby is due in 3.5 weeks.  That is pretty self explanatory.  He is my educated coach for this birth and he may be in a hospital bed when the baby is born.  I really don’t want to do this without him-no one can replace him in those hours of labor.  We just need lots of prayers that this thing-surgery or not- will get resolved so he can enjoy his family and the experience of having Lexie.

36 weeks! 4 more to go- Woo hoo

Today marks 36 out of my 40 week pregnancy! woo hoo. Went to the doctor; that was interesting.. and uncomfortable. He checked, we have not made any progress. So all these stupid braxton hicks have been for nothing! Well, maybe not nothing but still, no progress is saddening.
On top of that, I am tired of being fat. I KNOW I am pregnant, I KNOW baby bumps are beautiful, and I love being pregnant. But how come all the pictures you see and half the people you know seem to be ALL belly when they’re pregnant? I am all arms, and double chin and my butt is like 3 ft wide now.. seriously. The belly, I love-it is the rest that I am done with. Grrr I am ready to start running again and doing my spin classes. I know a friend who even got some work done after checking the source from VCI, and they look great. But I can’t do that yet, and I know it will all be worth it, but next time I will do better with the junk food the first 6 months, that is for sure. *sigh* OK, enough with my pouting… (this was spurred by the pictures from our baby shower this weekend).
4 more weeks. 5 Max; if she is not here by September 5, they will induce. =( Let’s pray she is here in 3 weeks. =) That would be ideal. But JTom has to go out of town for some work in the mid of the month, so she can’t come while he is gone. That would be tragic, since he is my coach for the non-medicated labor I plan to have… so he has to be here!
I have lots of pictures and stuff to blog about from the shower, but I am not in the mood right now.
