Homemade Bib
This probably isn’t really much of a tutorial, since I did not take pictures of the process. But the whole thing took me maybe minutes. Honestly, I don’t think the steps need pictures; next time I hope to do a personalized bib, with initials. I will post that process and include pics. Below is my finished product:
OK, so all I did was trace another bib I already had onto the backside of the material I chose. I just used scraps; bibs don’t use that much fabric, but I read that about 1/3 a yard will make 3 bibs. So maybe those measurements will be helpful to you.
After I traced the bib onto the backside of both pieces of coordinating fabric, I pinned them, right sides together. I used my sewing machine to stitch them up; be sure to leave your hole to turn the material right side out. Then, on the right side of the fabric, I used the zig zag stitch around the edges. I do not have a fancy tool to apply snaps, so I just cut and sewed on some ribbon to fasten the bib around Lou’s neck. I’d much rather have snaps, and will hopefully get a tool soon..
