So, if we were in real, full-time school (which we aren’t..) then this would have been our “fall break.” My mom came to visit for a week. We had a great time!
We only did learning time one day, because I could feel Lexie craving the routine of it. But other than that, we just had a relaxed week.
Despite taking the week off from most formal learning, we still did LOTS of learning activities.
Lexie (and sometimes Max)
- Made an “all about me collage” with Mia
- Went on a nature walk
- Went shopping at Hobby Lobby and while there had lots of sensory experiences exploring the fabrics and textures (Lexie and I may be a tiny bit obsessed with fabric …)
- Practiced writing her name
- (continued) talking about same and different
- Played Candy Land (lots of lessons in that alone) and won!
- Practiced violin
- continued learning to count backwards
- Became obsessed with Pete the Cat books (my mom brought her several and she loves them!)
So, we still had a ton of learning going on, of course. But it was a great week!

What did you do last week?
