37 weeks 5 days- 16 to go!!!

Almost 38 weeks!  That means 2 weeks left, 3 max if she isn’t here by her “due date.”  I have to say, the last 2 weeks I have been miserable, cranky, and very, very snippy.  Today is better- I went shopping so that probably has something to do with it.  (BIG smiley face here)  But I didn’t buy much, just a few gifts, hand soap, and things for the house.  Oh, I also got my red raspberry leaf tea, this is very good for all women, but helps to tone the uterus Lexie Raye’s home during pregnancy and supposedly makes labor less painful because raspberry leaves contain an alkaloid called fragarine, which is said to make labor easier due to its effectiveness as a tonic for the pelvic muscles and uterus.  The more effective your uterus is at contracting and moving the baby out, the faster/easier your labor will be.  Who knows if it is true or not, but I love hot and cold tea, so I am going to drink it regardless.  Got it at TJ on their gormet food isle for-get this- $2.99!  Go me.  I also got my hair done today, which has helped to improve my mood.
Oh, and you know how I have been so focused on what kind of labor we have and not having a C-Section?  I DON’T CARE ANYMORE!  I am DONE being pregnant.  At this point, I do not care how, when, or where this baby comes-I just want her out.  It is so uncomfortable.  I honestly don’t know how women who have terrible pregnancies the whole time do it.  I wouldn’t make it…  There is NO way.  I can’t lay on my back because it hurts, on my my side because it pulls in my back, obviously can’t lay on my tummy… and this pelvic girdle pain crud is for the BIRDS!  UH  So while I am very thankful my pregnancy has been easy and happy, this last month just down right sucks.  And poor J.Tom, I have been pretty cranky… I will just put it that way.  I want to be able to: touch my toes again, sit comfortably, walk without waddling, bend over, stand for longer than a few minutes, and mostly get back in my comfy clothes!!!!  I am just SO BEYOND READY!!
However, I do have a lot more energy today, so I am probably going to finish putting away baby things.  My dining room table looks like a junk store threw up on it… go figure.  I did get all my thank you cards from the last shower done and in the mail.. big relief.  But I have some things to take back in little rock and just haven’t ran that errand yet so it is all on the table.  It’s too hot (not a very good excuse, I know) to get out and run too many errands.

Update on Lexie: she is moving a little less, but when she does it is pretty painful.  She doesn’t have a lot of room in there and I constantly feel like my ribs are being pulled in opposite directions.  I am afraid my torso is just too short for this.. grr.  What will I do when the next baby is a 10 lb BOY?  I don’t even know what size she is.. according to the books and online updates I get she should be somewhere around 6 lbs right now, but what if she is bigger?  What’s even more worrisome, is what if she is small?!?!  Then all this weight I have gained is mostly ME!  hahaha  Not a happy thought.  I don’t mind having a big baby-like my MIL says, it is the head and shoulders you have to worry about, not the weight!  A small baby can still have a big head or broad shoulders.  Unfortunately, J.Tom and I are both pretty broad shouldered.  Sadness.
J.Tom had his surgery Tuesday (as most of you know) and is doing a lot better.  Waiting for some numbness to go away, but the dr. said that will take a little while.  However, the pain is mostly gone, as long as he doesn’t over do it and wear himself out.  So we are very thankful for that!

I am so proud of how well you have done and that J.Tom is on the mend. I am so anxious for Lexie Raye to pop out! I pray everyday for the 3 of you to be blessed with good health, an uneventful delivery and to be able to get my hands on the little one. Take care of the 3 of you and let me know if there are any other essentials that you need. Love all 3 of you soooooo much! AuntiePAUL
