Marcia Furman Art Post card Pack, Review and ….

I think I have mentioned before that we enjoy PostCrossing.com

{You exchange postcards with others all over the country. Typically you tell a little about the place you live, the weather, what types of things there are to do there. In their profile, users include the type of postcards they enjoy receiving, etc. } Not only you can use postcards to keep in touch with others, some companies use them for marketing purpose, for example, if you have a small business and you would like to reach your local community through direct marketing, you might use a companies like MyCreativeShop. For us, we kept to spenting them to friends we had around the world.

We have had great luck with our exchanges- We have sent and received postcards from New Jersey, Taiwan, the Netherlands, Germany, and Portugal. Some of the recipients of ours were so nice, and sent us a postcard in return (which is not required). They usually send an age appropriate and fun card for Lexie.

I couldn’t find any postcards here in York (surprised?).

We wanted fun, unusual postcards, so I did a little looking around … When I found these beautiful pieces of art! If you are interested in making your own unique postcards you could try somewhere similar to Printivity.

Marcia of Cinamon Squirrel graciously donated a pack of her beautiful postcards for Lexie and I to send during our Postcrossing “adventures.”

After looking at Marcia’s blog here: http://marciafurman.blogspot.com/2008/08/welcome.html
I realized just how talented and creative she is!

Her etsy shop has so many unique and gorgeous items; from pocket mirrors, to zippered pouches and wall art, she offers so much- and each one makes a great gift! I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t enjoy original art with a little pizz-azz.

Here are some pictures of the postcards Lexie and I sent to via Postcrossing (sorry for the not-so-professional photos…):

Those are just a few of the beautiful postcards Marcia shared with us! Lexie was so excited, because she got to choose which cards went to which recipients. Each card was her “favorite,” haha.

The Cinnamon Squirrel and Moth Mallows are my favorites! I think I am going to get Lexie the Moth Mallows for her room, after I decide how I should frame/mount it.

A bonus of Marcia not only being a talented artist, she is also open about her spirituality and faith. I love that!

I just want to thank Marcia for sharing her art with us, and also with you! ***Because a lucky reader is going to receive a postcard pack from Marcia. How exciting!

I’d send them to several of my friends…Letters & card are very important to me when it comes to keeping my relationships with friends healthy. The personal touch of a handwritten word is a lost art in itself.

I would send these to my family back home. We are a military family, so it is important to keep in touch through mail and by phone.
