A Year With Frog and Toad: The Musical (and a little lady)

A few weekends ago, the Yorkshire Playhouse put on the Musical, “A Year with Frig and Toad,” which is based off the Frog and Toad books by Arnold Lobel.  We have Frog and Toad All Year, and Lexie LOVES it.  We have read it several times, and she likes to flip back through it and “read” it on her own.

So, when I saw the playhouse here in town was putting it on, I was SO excited!

Getting ready to go!

Waiting for Frog and Toad!

 Here they come!  So excited!

During intermission:

She had SO much fun and her favorite character was the snail (and he did an outstanding job!).  I really didn’t think she (very much a two year old) would sit through the entire 2 hour production- but she DID!  She was a perfect little lady, I was SO proud of her!

At the end, we got to meet all the cast as we walked out.  It was such a wonderful experience for her.  She was the only child in the theatre, everyone else was an adult (or teenager) and she was on her very best behavior.  =)

In the spring the Lied Performing Arts center in Lincoln is doing The Very Hungry Caterpillar and a few shorts of Eric Carl’s other books, and a ballet!  I already have our tickets reserved, I can’t wait to take her!
